Day Habilitation Services

 SEARCH Day Program is committed to providing engaging, meaningful, and skill-building experiences for adults 21+ with disabilities. Our Adult Day Program offers a variety of enriching programs designed to foster independence, creativity, social connections, and vocational skills. Located in Ocean Township our 15-acer campus offers multiple opportunities for community based experiences, behavior support services, prevocational exploration, community volunteerism and supported employment. We focus on skills related to daily living, recreation, independence, and community integration.                             

Creative Arts Program  

Our Creative Arts Program allows participants to explore and express themselves through various art forms, 

including painting, drawing, music, drama and crafts. This program encourages creativity, self-confidence and emotional expression while providing therapeutic and enjoyable experience.  

Greenhouse Program

Through our Greenhouse Program, participants engage in hands-on gardening, plant care and horticulture activities. This program promotes environmental awareness, responsibility and a connection to nature while developing practical skills that can translate into future vocational opportunities.

Kitchen Program

The Kitchen Program teaches essential cooking and food preparation skills in a structured and supportive environment. Participants learn about kitchen safety, meal planning, nutrition and teamwork, empowering them to make healthy food choices and gain independence in the kitchen.   

Life Skills Program 

Our Life Skills Program focuses on developing daily living skills that enhance self-sufficiency. Participants work on budgeting, hygiene, personal safety, time management, communication and decision making skills to promote confidence and independence in their everyday lives.   

Community Outings

We believe in fostering strong community connections through regular Community Outings. Participants engage in recreational, social and volunteer activities, such as visiting local parks, museums, restaurants and businesses. These outings help individuals build social skills, navigate their communities and enjoy new experiences.    

Employment Services

Our Employment Services Program supports participants in developing job readiness skills and securing meaningful employment opportunities. Through job coaching , resume building, interview preparation and workplace training, we help individuals gain confidence and succeed in the workforce. We also collaborate with local businesses to create inclusive employment opportunities tailored to each participant strengths and interests.

Fitness Program 

We believe in healthy eating and fitness to enhance their physical, mental and emotional well-being.                                         

All participants as well as eligible applicants must be Medicaid eligible and registered with the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities. Transportation is provided within the catchment area and for some, outside of the area. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
